2015 Cross Country
Boys Results
Season Highlights: The
team was coached by Jim Schlentz and assisted by Joe Lykes and volunteer coach,
Adam Petriella. The team
finished with a dual meet record of 7 wins and 0 losses to win the B North division of
the Shore Conference. Team highlights The team finished 9th in the
All-Groups (Meet of Champions), 2nd in the
Group III State Championships, won the Central Jersey Group III Champs and was
runner-up to CBA in the Monmouth
County Champs. Individual highlights
Jordan Brannan was 13th in the Meet of Champions (2nd only to Forys two
championships and a runner-up finish) and 2nd in the Group III State Champs,
Central Jersey Group III Champs and Monmouth County Champs. Anthony Russo
was 13th in the Group III State Champs, 8th in the Central Jersy Group III
Champs, 10th in the Shore Conference Champs and 9th in the Monmouth County
Champs. Zack Csipkay was 20th in the Group III State Champs and won the
senior division of the Footlocker Northeast Regional Champs. Rick Sommer was
10th, Liam Hoagland 14th, Gavin McDonnell 18th and Kevin Berry 20th in the
Central Jersey Group III Champs.
Post-Season Highlights:
Jordan Brannan was named 2nd team All-State All-Groups by the
Star Ledger. Jordan was also named 1st team All-State Group III, Anthony
Russo was 2nd team All-State Group III and Zach Csipkay and was named 3rd team All-State
Group III by the Star Ledger. Jordan was named 1st team All-Shore
Conference by the Asbury Park Press. Jordan, Anthony, Zack, Rick Sommer
and Liam Hoagland were named 1st team All-Freehold District by the
News Transcript. The team would finish the
season ranked 9th in the state, including all four public and the two
non-public groups, by the Star Ledger.
