2019 Cross Country
Boys Results
Season Highlights: The
team was coached by Jim Schlentz and assisted by Joe Lykes and volunteer coaches,
Adam Petriella and Andrew Levine. Just like last year, instead of dual meets, there was a
combined Shore Conference B North Champs, which
was scored as dual meets. The team finished 1st with a 7 wins and 0 losses
dual meet record. Team highlights The team was 10th in the Meet of
Champions, 3rd in the Group III
State Champs, 2nd in the Central
Jersey Group III Champs and 3rd in the Shore Conference Champs. Individual highlights
Matt Bogdan was 9th in the Meet of Champions, 5th in the Group III Champs, 3rd
in the Central Jersey Champs, 4th in the Shore Conference Champs, and 3rd in
Monmouth County Champs, Dylan Perkinson was 11th, Christian Mariner 14th, Kyle
Roeder 9th and Ryan Johnson 25th in the Central Jersey Group III Champs.
Matt was 1st, Dylan 4th, Kyle 6th, Christian 7th and Ryan 8th at the B North Championships.
Post-Season Highlights: Matt
Bogdan was named 2nd team All-State All-Groups and 1st team All-State Group III by the
Star Ledger. He was named 1st team All-Shore Conference by the Asbury Park
Press and Shore Track coaches Ass. and 1st team All-Monmouth County by the Shore
Track Coaches Ass.
