2023 Spring Track Results

Boys Results

The team was coached by Kevin Hein (sprinters) and assisted by Jim Schlentz (distance), Dennis Bruck (throws), John Flood (hurdles/throws), John Hickey (distance) and volunteer coaches Tim Jacoutot (hurdles) and Mike Pinnola (distance).  Team highlights: The boys were 3rd in the Central Jersey Group III Champs and 6th in Monmouth County Champs.   Individual highlights: Hunter Celkupa was 4th in the Meet of Champions, 5th at the Group III State Champs and won the 1600 and 3200 at the Central Jersey Group III Champs.  Also at the Central Jersey Group III Champs, Andrew Krok won the 800 and was 4th in 1600, the 4 x 100 of Charlie Labkovski, Kamron Charles, Matt Steinberg, and Matt Spirito was 2nd, Eric Lavin was 2nd in javelin, Albert Yodakis 3rd in shot put, Fortunato Roberts 5th 400 hurdles, John Shapiro 6th 3200, the 4 x 800 4th and 4 x 400 5th.  Also, Matt Spirito (200) and the 4 x 100 were 2nd at the Monmouth County Champs and Albert was 3rd in shot put.

Post-Season Highlights: Hunter Celkupa was named 3rd Team All-State Group III (1600) by nj.com.

Boys Results

It is a world of the individual against himself, it is his aspirations challenging the capacity of his body.  There is no enemy but the straining of every muscle.  It is not a sport, it is a life of work and precision and sometimes it is rewarded by a cheer or a press clipping.  But when the press clipping turns yellow, there will still be the memory of that time, perhaps only a moment, when the crowd faded to nothing and the only sound was breathing and the only feeling was the ache of endurance and pushing, pushing until the body soared with the mind, and no one else knew what it was to strive. 
This is a list of all possible meets we may run.  Some may be cancelled or moved to another date.  We will add the more JV meets when we know the date.  Check back.
