Nov- 2003 - Craig Stivala ('02) was named to the Big East All-Academic Spring Track Team for 2003.  Craig competes for Syracuse University.  Congrats!!!

August 30 - 9 a.m. - If you are not off to college, we will be having our annual Alumni Cross Country meet at Bucks Mill Park.  Warmups are at 9 a.m. with the race going off at around 9:45.  Feel free to come and watch if you don't think you can make it around the course.

Just a reminder to send me your email addresses as you leave for college so I can send you the meet updates.  I can also send you any special news that comes up.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year for 2003.  We got to see a few of you over the winter break.  Russell Kaufman, Kevin McGann, Craig Stivala, Jorge Ventura and Israel Payan all came and ran with the team.  Kathleen Malara and Ashley Liberatore stopped by to say hello.  Great to see all of you and you are welcome to workout with us anytime.

From The Citadel, we have the first pictures of  '02 graduate Russell Kaufmann.

  Ten new faces to The Citadel Track and Cross Country teams reported for Athletic Cadre and are currently finishing up "Hell Week" this weekend.  The athletes come from six states including South Carolina, Georgia, New Jersey, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Louisiana.  The knobs will begin practice next week as they prepare for the upcoming cross country campaign which begins at the CSU Invite on August 30, 2002 here in Charleston.

Our 1st Alumni Cross Country meet will be Saturday, August 31st at Buck Mills Park.  We will start warm ups at 9:00 A.M. with the race starting at about 9:45.  You are all invited to join us in the race or to just cheer and see your old teammates.  This will be an annual event which will take place the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.  As we get more graduates it will become the Alumni Race/Barbecue.  Hope you can all come!
