2000-2001 Winter Track
Girls Results
Season Highlights: The team
was coached by Jim Schlentz and assisted by Doug Phillips. This was just
the 2nd year of winter track for the girls and every (state championship) event school record
was broken. Team highlights was the 3rd place finish by the
sophomores in the Monmouth County Soph Championships and the 4th place finish by
the freshmen in the Monmouth County Frosh Championships. Individual
highlights included 2nd place finishes by sophomores Lianne Price (1600), Stacy
Perry (shot put), and the 4 x 400 relay team (Liz Brady, Laura Patterson, Lianne,
and Rachel Candelora) and freshmen Kelly Romisoukas (400) and Leisha Jackucewicz
(1600) in the Monmouth County Soph-Frosh Championships.

finishes by Stacy Perry in the shot put, Lianne Price in the 1600, the
"A" 4 x 400 meter relay team, 4th place finish by the "B" 4
x 400 meter relay team and a 6th place in the 800 by Laura Patterson. The
freshmen girls finished 4th as a team led by the 2nd place finishes of Kelly
Romisoukas in the 400 (as well as a 4th place in the 55) and Leisha Jackucewicz
in the 1600, a 3rd place in the 4 x 400 meter relay, and Christina Coakley's 6th
place finish in the 800.
