Season Highlights: The team was coached by Jim Schlentz and assisted by Bryan Parks. The team finished with a record of 8 wins and 1 loss overall and a record of 5 wins and 1 loss in the A Central division of the Shore Conference, finishing 2nd to Holmdel. Team highlights included winning the Freehold District Championship for the first time, winning the Central Jersey Group 1 Championship for the first time and finishing 2nd in the State Group 1 Championship, losing by just 2 points to Palisades Park. The team finished the season with a 16th place finish in the Meet of Champions. Individual highlights included Israel Payan's 2nd Central Jersey Championship with Jorge Ventura 2nd and Andrew Leimbach 5th, as well as Jorge's runner-up finish in the state meet with Israel 3rd. With just one senior in the top 10, the team looks for even bigger things next year.
Post-Season Highlights: Israel Payan and Jorge Ventura were named 1st team All-State for Group 1 by the Star Ledger with Andrew Leimbach making the 3rd team. Israel was named 1st team All-Shore by the Asbury Park Press with Jorge Ventura making the 3rd team. Israel, Jorge and Andrew were all named to the All-Freehold District 1st team. Kevin McGann and Serge Pilipetskii made honorable mention. Israel was named 1st team All-Monmouth County with Jorge making the 2nd team and Coach Schlentz was named co-coach of the year for Monmouth County with Tom Heath of CBA by the Star Ledger.

The boys varsity finished 3rd in the Varsity E division to two Group II schools, Haddonfield and Rumson. It was an improvement of 7 places over last year's 10th in the Varsity F division. Jorge and Israel finished 2-3 and Kevin and Serge ran personal bests to keep Colts Neck close to the Palisades Park pack but the Cougars fell just 2 points short of the upset over the #1 ranked Group 1 team and collecting their 1st State Championship.
