2001- 2 Winter Track 

Girls Results

Season Highlights:  The team was coached by Jim Schlentz and assisted by Rich Concato.  As a team, we beat every single school record in an event run in the championship races.  The team also had our first individual scorer in the Monmouth County and Group II State Championships with Becky Mergenthaler in the 55 meter dash.  Individual highlights included Becky's 5th place finish in both Monmouth County and the State meet, Danielle Plenzo becoming our 1st Monmouth County freshman champion in not one but two events (1600 and 3200), and the Distance Medley Relay team of Danielle Plenzo, Liz Brady, Laura Patterson, and Lianne Price finishing 8th in the State Group II Relays

Post-Season Highlights:  We had our first female athlete qualify for a post-season event as Becky Mergenthaler qualified for the Eastern Championships in both the 55 meter dash and the 200 meter dash.  Rachel Candelora missed qualifying for the 55 meter hurdles by .1 of a second.  Danielle Plenzo and Becky Mergenthaler were named honorable mention All-Freehold District.
