Season Highlights: The team was coached by Jim Schlentz and assisted by Bryan Parks. The team finished with a dual meet record of 5 wins and 1 loss both overall and in the A Central division of the Shore Conference, finishing tied for 1st with Holmdel and Wall. Team highlights included finishing 2nd in the Freehold District Championship and finishing 3rd in the Central Jersey Group II Championship to qualify for the state meet. Running without senior stars Israel Payan and Jorge Ventura, they finished 12th in the State Group II Championship. Individual highlights included Jorge Ventura's 2nd place finishes at both the Central Jersey Group II Championship and the Freehold Regional District Championships. Ryan Jagielski set new freshmen records for Holmdel Park (frosh and varsity courses) and Buck Mills Park. Bad news was that senior star Israel Payan ran only the Wall dual meet because of injuries. The team that finished 12th in the state meet included 2 freshmen, 2 sophomores and 2 juniors of the seven so the future shows real potential.
Post-Season Highlights: Jorge Ventura was named 2nd team All-State Group II by the Star Ledger. He was also named 2nd team All-Monmouth County by the Star Ledger and 1st team All-A Central Division for the Shore Conference. Finally, he was named to the All-Freehold District 1st team. Andrew Leimbach, Dave Gaines and Kevin McGann were named honorable mention All-Freehold District.
