2001 Cross Country
Girls Results
Season Highlights: The
team was coached by Bryan Parks and assisted by Jim Schlentz. The team
finished with a dual meet record of 5 wins and 1 loss both overall and in the A
Central division of the Shore Conference, finishing 2nd behind Holmdel. Team highlights included
winning the Freehold District
Championship for the 1st time and finishing 5th in the Central Jersey Group II Championship to
qualify for the state meet. The team finished 10th in the State Group II Championship.
Individual highlights included Ashley Liberatore's 2nd place and Lianne Price's
4th place finishes at the Freehold Regional District
Championships. This year we had our best team average ever at Holmdel Park
and the team included only one senior so we all look forward to next year.
Post-Season Highlights: Ashley
Liberatore and Lianne Price were named to the All-Freehold District 1st team.
Danielle Plenzo, Melanie Mahoney, and Amy Lewis were all named honorable mention All-Freehold District.
