* B North Division meets
Season Highlights: The team was coached by Jim Schlentz and assisted by Joe Lykes. The team finished with a dual meet record of 5 wins and 2 losses overall and 5 wins and 1 losses in the B North division of the Shore Conference, which they finished 2nd. Team highlights included finishing 15th in the Group III State Championships, finishing 3rd in the Central Jersey Group III Championship, and the 5th place finish in the Monmouth County Champs. Also, the boys freshman team finishing 2nd in the Shore Conference Champs. Individual highlights included Craig Forys winning the Meet of Champions (the first Cougar MOC XC champion) and the State Group III titles, and repeating as Central Jersey Group III, Shore Conference and Monmouth County Champion. Craig's time in the Meet of Champions was the 4th fastest in NJ history and was a Shore Conference record; Brenden Krewer winning the Freehold District Championship and finishing 4th at the CJ Group III Champs; and Dan Fiasconaro and Curt McKittrick finishing 9th and 11th at the Freehold District Champs. Devrin Vivino winning the Freehold District JV championship before going on to finish as 3rd fastest Varsity Cougar. Also, Mark Leininger winning the Freehold District freshman champs with Evan Ralph in 2nd and Jason Weiner and Matt Smutko 7th and 8th at the freshman Shore Conference Champs.
Post-Season Highlights: Craig Forys was named 1st team All-State All-Groups by New Jersey Track and the Star Ledger as well as NJ Runner of the Year by the Star Ledger. He was named 1st team Group III All-State by the Star Ledger. Craig was named 1st team All-Shore Conference by the Asbury Park Press and the Shore Coaches Association (as well as Runner of the Year for the Shore Conference). Craig was named 1st team All-Monmouth County by the Star Ledger. Craig, Brenden Krewer were named 1st team All-Freehold District by the News Transcript. Dan Fiasconaro, Devrin Vivino and Matt Smutko were named honorable mention All-Freehold District.

Craig Forys becomes CN's 1st XC MOC winner. Craig was with the leader, Ben Massam, through the first mile. Massam threw a big surge during the 2nd mile and led by 5 secs through 2 miles. Craig started to close the gap, passed him with 1000 meters and went on to win by 12 secs. His time of 15:34 sets new Shore Conference and Freehold District records as he becomes the 4th fastest runner of all time at Holmdel Park.
