Girls Results
Season Highlights: The
team was coached by Joe Lykes and assisted by Jim Schlentz. The team
finished with a dual meet record of 4 wins and 2 losses in the B North division
of the Shore Conference. Team highlights: The team finished 9th in
the Central Jersey Group III Champs, 11th in the Monmouth County Champs and 16th
in the Shore Conference Champs. Individual
highlights: Arielle Weiner finished 10th in the Group III State meet to
qualify for her 1st Meet of Champions. She was also 3rd in the Central
Jersey Group III Champs and 8th in the Monmouth County Champs. Megan
O'Dowd won the Six Flags Wild Safari Inv frosh race and was 3rd in the
Shore Coaches frosh race. she was also 24th in the Monmouth County Champs.
Post-Season Highlights: Arielle
Weiner was named 2nd team All-State Group III by the Star Ledger, 2nd team
All-Shore by the Asbury Park Press and the Shore Track Coaches Ass.
Arielle was named 1st team
All-Monmouth County by the Star Ledger with Megan O'Dowd making 3rd team. Arielle and Megan were named 1st team All-Freehold District by the News Transcript.

Girls
|
|
| It is a world of the individual against himself, it
is his aspirations challenging the capacity of his body. There
is no enemy but the straining of every muscle. It is not a
sport, it is a life of work and precision and sometimes it is
rewarded by a cheer or a press clipping. But when the press
clipping turns yellow, there will still be the memory of that time,
perhaps only a moment, when the crowd faded to nothing and the only
sound was breathing and the only feeling was the ache of endurance
and pushing, pushing until the body soared with the mind, and no one
else knew what it was to strive.
