Spring Track - Boys
What was the best season for each event? We go event
by event, by year, and look at the best times, the number
of athletes under certain times and look at the depth of the event. Then
we decide which year was the best year
for the event.

SR = State Record at the time |
2017 had the most under 2:04 and tied with 2013 hadfor the most under 2:08. 2014 had the most under 2:12, 2:16
and 2:20.
In fact they destroyed the
records for 2:16 and 2:20. In 2005,
we had 4 boys under 1:56.0 as the 4 x 800 relay team broke the old State record
that had been held since the late
1970s. They also finished 2nd in the
National Championship Distance Medley race. They had the most under 1:56
and 2:00. In the end, you have to
go with a state record and 4 under 1:56
even though the depth of the 2014 team was amazing. The winner
has to be -
2005.
