We're back to Club East!

Headlines - 2006

Starting in January, 2006,  we're back to the original name, Club East.  Club East was the original name of the club before they were sponsored by Asics and became Asics Club East in late 1996.   2/23/06 - Thursday Nite at the Races - NYC Armory - Madelyn Noe-Schlentz gets the 1500 meter 45-49 US record that got away on 12/30/05 by running 4:52.6 to break the Chaplin-Swan record of 4:53.  Noel Whitall runs a PB 4:41 and Jenn Malavolta runs 4:53 to make it 3 outstanding races.

 

1/26/06 - Thursday Nite at the Races - NYC Armory - Noel Whitall breaks 10:00 in the 3000 meters for the 1st time since college.  She runs 9:59.2 which moves her up to 6th on the all-time Club East list.  Sue Huelster was 10:30.8 and Jenn Malavolta ran 10:37.2.
  1/12/06 - Thursday Nite at the Races - NYC Armory -Madelyn Noe-Schlentz sets a new US 45-49 record for the 1 mile as she runs 5:11.1 to beat the previous record of 5:18.1 by Patti Ford in 2001.  Noel Whitall ran a new indoor PB for the 1 mile with a time of 5:08.6.
  12/30/05 - USATF Metropolitan Holiday Classic - Madelyn Noe-Schlentz breaks the US 45-49 1500 meter record but gets beat by Lesley Chaplin-Swan, who was in her age-group.  Madelyn ran 4:56.49, almost 7 secs faster than the old record of 5:03.36 by Marge Bellisle in 2004.  Jenn Malavolta was just behind in 5:03.41.  Madelyn doubled back in the 3000 to run 10:31.85.
